Prospective analysis of the adaptation of workers in a youth center exposed to a potentially traumatic event: effects of a peer support intervention

Project funded by Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail

The purpose of this study is to compare the evolution of psychological distress (e.g., post-traumatic stress disorder, depression), work functioning (e.g.: absenteeism, quality of work, workplace safety) and needs in the workplace regarding support among three groups of workers who experienced a traumatic event depending on the type of support received. For this purpose, workers are recruited from two youth centers, one offering standard support measures, the other offering a peer support program.
