Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST)

The Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (formerly CSST) aims to ensure that workplaces take charge of the health and safety of their employees. The CNESST also provides compensation for victims of occupational injuries and ensures their physical and mental rehabilitation. If you have been exposed to a traumatic event in the workplace, contact this organization.

 

Crime Victims Assistance Center (CAVAC)

Were you the victim of a crime? Was a loved one victimized? Did you witness an assault, breaking and entering or any other crime? The Crime Victims Assistance Center is there to help you overcome the psychological and social consequences of this experience. Regroupement québécois des CALACS (Centre d’aide et de lutte contre les agressions à caractère sexuel)

The Regroupement québécois des centres d’aide et de lutte contre les agressions à caractère sexuel (RQ-CALACS) is a nonprofit organization that is part of Action communautaire autonome. The Regroupement brings together the CALACS in order to facilitate the exchange of expertise among its members, to support the search for solutions to stop sexual violence, and to ensure the development of feminist intervention services in sexual assault for all women of Quebec.

 

Indemnisation aux victimes d’actes criminels (IVAC)

The IVAC is a monetary compensation service that provides benefits to help victims and rescuers heal following criminal acts or acts of civility. If the injury caused by the crime or act of civility renders the victim unable to work, study, or perform the majority of his or her usual daily or domestic activities, compensation to replace the potential loss of income can be provided.

SOS violence conjugale

SOS violence conjugale offers bilingual, free, anonymous and confidential 24/7 reception, assessment, information, awareness, support and referral services to domestic violence victims and all those affected by this issue. These services are available by phone, TTY for the deaf or by email.

 

Plaidoyer-Victimes

L’Association québécoise Plaidoyer-Victimes (AQPV) is a community-based, non-profit organization whose mission is to defend and promote the rights and interests of victims of crime. This organization is not a front-line service, but it provides information, support and referral services for victims in relation to the exercise of their rights and recourse.
