Over 500,000 Canadians miss work or school each week due to stress related disorders and new surveys report that stress and anxiety are significantly increasing among children and adolescents. After the success of her first book, “Well Stressed”, sold at over 25,000 copies and translated into English, Sonia Lupien comes back with a second book showing how parental stress can overflow onto children and what the effects of stress on brain development in children. By suggesting simple means to diminish the stress response, the author offers scientifcally validated tools that will allow parents to control their stress while helping their children do the same.
